Welcome to DragonDX: Who We Are and What We Test For

DragonDX is a UK private blood testing service: multi-marker panels at home or in clinic, every result explained in plain English and charted over time.

DragonDX is a private blood testing service for the United Kingdom. You order online, provide your sample at home or at a partner clinic, and receive your results in Console, your secure account, with every marker set against the laboratory's own reference ranges and explained in plain English.

The service is built on a single position: a blood test is worth only what you are able to do with it. Laboratory accuracy is the baseline, not the achievement. What follows the result, the interpretation, the context and the record over time, is where the value sits, and it is where most testing stops.

What DragonDX does

We provide private blood tests direct to the public across the UK. No GP referral is required and there is no membership to join. Samples are analysed by our partner pathology laboratories, and the laboratory's own results are returned to you in full.

Every order includes AI Analysis: an interpretation of your markers read together rather than one at a time, written in language that does not assume a clinical background. Results are also charted against your previous tests, so each set is read in the context of the last.

How ordering a blood test works

  1. Choose your test. Browse the full range of blood tests by category, or use Find your test to narrow the catalogue to the panels that suit your situation.
  2. Complete your order. Provide patient details, select your sample method, and pay securely by card through Stripe. Your account is where your results are held.
  3. Provide your sample. Finger-prick kits are despatched to your address with instructions and prepaid return packaging. Tests that require a venous draw are taken at a partner clinic by a trained phlebotomist.
  4. Laboratory analysis. Console records each stage as it happens: sample collected, received at the laboratory, results released. Estimated turnaround in working days is stated on every product page.
  5. Review your results. Markers, reference ranges, laboratory notes, AI Analysis, and a print-ready report.

What you can test for

The catalogue is built around multi-marker panels, because a single value in isolation rarely answers the question that prompted the test. It covers:

  • General health and full blood count (FBC) baselines
  • Thyroid blood tests, including TSH, thyroid antibodies and supporting micronutrients
  • Men's health, including testosterone and PSA prostate markers
  • Women's health, covering hormone balance, fertility insight and everyday wellbeing
  • Heart and cholesterol tests, from a standard lipid profile to advanced lipid markers and omega fatty acids
  • Liver function (LFT) and kidney function, including urea and electrolytes
  • Blood sugar and metabolic markers such as HbA1c, fasting glucose and fasting insulin
  • Vitamin and mineral tests, including vitamin D, vitamin B12, folate, ferritin and iron studies
  • Molecular allergy testing (ALEX) for IgE-linked sensitivities

Individual biomarkers are available separately for targeted retesting.

What a private blood test costs

Competitive pricing is a founding principle here, not a launch promotion. Private multi-marker testing in the UK is routinely priced well above what the underlying pathology justifies, and our catalogue is built to compete on price without reducing what is in the panel.

Every panel states exactly which markers it contains, and the price covers both the laboratory analysis and the AI Analysis of your results. There is no subscription and no membership tier. A lower price for half the markers is not a saving, and our product pages are written so that the difference is visible before you buy.

Your blood test results, explained in plain English

When your results are released, Console presents each marker individually: the value, the units, the reference range it was measured against, and whether it falls inside or outside that range. Nothing is reduced to a single score.

AI Analysis then interprets the full set: which markers fall outside range, what a pattern across several markers may indicate, and what merits discussion with a clinician. Each interpretation is generated from your own results and your laboratory's own ranges.

AI Analysis is an explanation, not a diagnosis, and does not replace medical advice.

Where the numbers come from

The clinical content of your report belongs to the laboratory. Values, units, reference ranges, laboratory notes and result statuses are presented exactly as the laboratory issued them. We do not paraphrase them, round them, or substitute figures of our own.

Where a laboratory supplies no range for a marker, a clearly labelled guide range is shown in its place and identified as ours. Where selecting between ranges would require an assumption about you that has not been confirmed, the laboratory's own wording is shown instead. We will not present an assumption as a determination.

Charting your blood test results over time

A single test is a snapshot. A series is a trajectory. Console charts every marker across every test you take with us, so a ferritin level, a lipid profile or an HbA1c reading can be read as a direction rather than an isolated figure.

This is where private testing becomes genuinely useful, which is why marker history is part of your account rather than a paid addition. Retest in six months and the record is already in place.

Your data and privacy

Blood test results are special category health data under UK GDPR and are handled accordingly. DragonDX is registered with the ICO, and our Privacy policy sets out who has access, where data is held, how long it is retained, and how to request erasure.

Support

Support is handled through Console. Tickets are raised from within your account, so every enquiry arrives attached to the relevant order, and orders, sample progress, results and correspondence all sit behind a single secure sign-in.

About DragonDX

DragonDX is a Welsh business, founded in Caerphilly, South Wales by Daniel James and operating UK-wide. It is independent, and it answers to its customers rather than to a group above it.

The platform described here is built and ready: the catalogue, both sample pathways, Console, AI Analysis and marker history. Development continues against a single test, which is whether a change makes your result more useful to you.

What comes next

The store opens in the coming days. Further panels and platform features follow, and each will be announced here.

Before you order

You must be 18 or over to order. DragonDX provides testing and information; diagnosis and treatment are matters for a qualified clinician with full sight of your circumstances. Results do not replace medical advice, and no test can exclude every condition.

If you feel unwell, or a result concerns you, contact your GP or call 111. In an emergency, call 999.

Welcome to DragonDX.
