Privacy policy
How DragonDX handles personal and health data under UK GDPR.
DragonDX (“we”, “us”) is the trading name of CwmByte Ltd. We provide blood testing kits and related sample pathways, and a results portal (Console). This notice explains how we process personal data under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Data controller
CwmByte Ltd (trading as DragonDX) is the data controller for personal data processed through this website, shop, and account portal.
• Company No. 16721622
• Registered office: 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom
• ICO registration reference: ZC017511
• Privacy requests: open a support ticket in Console (or use subject-access export in your account profile where enabled)
Information we collect
• Account details: name, email, password (hashed), sex at birth, marketing preference
• Order and patient details needed for laboratory fulfilment (including date of birth and sample context such as fasting or pregnancy where provided)
• Payment metadata via Stripe (we do not store full card numbers)
• Laboratory results, biomarkers, questionnaires (SAQ), and related support messages
• Technical data: IP address, device/browser information, and cookies as described below
Blood / health data (special category)
Health data (including blood results and health questionnaires) is special category personal data under Article 9 UK GDPR. We process that health data on the basis of your explicit consent under Article 9(2)(a). Account, order, and fulfilment details that are not special-category data are processed under Article 6(1)(b) (contract) and, where applicable, Article 6(1)(c) (legal obligation).
Explicit consent is collected when you create an account (mandatory checkbox) and again when you submit a self-assessment questionnaire (SAQ). You cannot use the service without that consent. You may withdraw later via a Console support ticket; withdrawal may stop further results services and does not erase laboratory-held records (see below).
How we use information
• Fulfil kits and clinic sample pathways with contracted pathology partners
• Deliver results and (where enabled) interpretive information in your account
• Account management, security, fraud prevention, and customer support
• Transactional email about orders and results (always sent)
• Optional marketing email only if you opt in (PECR)
Who we share data with
We do not sell your data. We use processors under contract, including: pathology laboratory partners (currently including Sussex Pathology Laboratory Services for kit fulfilment and analysis); Stripe; hosting providers; and transactional email providers. Transfers stay in the UK / EEA or countries with a UK adequacy decision unless you give further consent or another lawful basis applies.
Laboratory partners and erasure
Your kit is fulfilled and analysed by an independent pathology laboratory. We send the laboratory the patient and shipping details needed to despatch the kit and process the sample, and we receive results (for example PDF reports and structured markers) so we can show them in your Console account.
When you ask us to erase your personal data, or when you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise the copies we hold in DragonDX systems (subject to legal retention exceptions such as finance or security logs). We do not control, and cannot erase, records that remain with the laboratory or other independent partners under their own legal and clinical duties. Those organisations process data under their own policies and contracts with us. If you need erasure of laboratory-held records, you (or we, where the contract allows) may need to contact the laboratory separately — we will explain this when we respond to your request.
AI-assisted interpretation
Where you consent to AI-assisted interpretation, your results and questionnaire answers are processed by a third-party AI provider. We do not send your name, date of birth, or contact details, and your answers are stripped of personal identifiers before they are sent. This provider processes data outside the United Kingdom. That transfer is covered by standard contractual clauses approved for use in the UK, which require the provider to protect your information to UK standards. Your data is not used to train the provider models. You can use DragonDX without AI interpretation.
Where your data is stored
Our application and live database are hosted within the European Economic Area. Encrypted backups and our transactional email service are held in the United Kingdom (London). Backups are encrypted before they leave our server, so our backup provider cannot read them. Health data is encrypted in our database.
Security and personal data breaches
We apply technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk (access controls, encrypted transport where used, application-level encryption of certain health fields and results files where configured, and staff access limited to need-to-know). If a personal data breach is likely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will assess it and notify the ICO and affected individuals where UK GDPR requires.
Your rights
You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, or object to certain processing. Open a support ticket in Console (preferred) or use subject-access export in your account profile where enabled. We may need to verify your identity. You may also complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk).
Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies as follows (UK PECR):
• Essential — required for login, security, basket/checkout, and core site operation
• Analytics — help us understand how the site is used (only if you consent)
• Preference — remember settings such as cookie choices
Non-essential cookies are not set until you accept them via our cookie banner. You can change your mind later using the banner controls or by contacting us. Disabling essential cookies may stop parts of the site from working.
Retention
We retain DragonDX account, order, results, and questionnaire data while your account remains active so we can provide the service, and thereafter only as needed for legal duties. We keep it as follows:
• Orders, laboratory results held in Console, and related fulfilment records — while your account remains active; then delete or anonymise on account deletion / erasure request (subject to exceptions below)
• SAQ / supporting questionnaires — with the related order and results records in DragonDX
• Account profile data — until you delete your account (subject to any records we must keep)
• Consent records and compliance / audit logs — typically up to 7 years
• Session and other temporary technical data — typically up to 1 day
• Payment records — as required by Stripe and finance law (may outlive account deletion)
Erasure of DragonDX copies does not remove laboratory-held records (see “Laboratory partners and erasure” above).
You may request erasure at any time; we aim to respond within 30 days, subject to legal retention exceptions and laboratory limitations.
Affiliate programme
If you join our affiliate programme (by invitation), we process additional personal data about you as an affiliate, separately from any customer account: your legal name, business name if any, postal address and phone number; your bank sort code and account number; the discount codes assigned to you; your commission record (each order that used your code by date, order number and value, without the customer's identity or the test bought); your acceptance of the programme terms (version and time); and your payout history.
• Purpose and lawful basis: to run the programme and pay you (performance of a contract, UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)); to meet our tax and accounting obligations (legal obligation, Article 6(1)(c)); and to prevent and investigate fraud, self-referral and advertising breaches (legitimate interests, Article 6(1)(f)).
• Bank details are stored encrypted at rest and are visible only to you and to the staff who make payments. They are never sold or shared for marketing.
• Retention: commission and payout records are kept for 6 years after the last payout, as financial records. Identity and bank details are removed when your affiliate account is closed and any balance has been settled. Erasure requests are handled as described above; where commission is still outstanding we will ask you to settle it first, because we cannot pay you without the details erasure would remove.
• You never receive personal data about our customers through the programme.

Terms and Conditions
The agreement between you and CwmByte Ltd for DragonDX products and services.
Last updated: August 2026
These Terms and Conditions govern use of the DragonDX website, shop, and Console account portal.
Trading entity
DragonDX is a trading name of CwmByte Ltd (Company No. 16721622), registered office 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom. Customer support is via support tickets in Console. How we process personal data is described in our Privacy policy (ICO registration ZC017511).
Service description
DragonDX sells blood testing products and provides a portal for order tracking and results. Laboratory analysis is performed by contracted pathology partners. Any interpretation or charts shown in the portal are informational tools, not a diagnosis.
Eligibility
You must be 18 or over and capable of entering a binding contract. You must provide accurate patient and contact details for fulfilment.
Accounts
You are responsible for keeping login credentials secure. Do not share results access links inappropriately.
Orders and payment
Prices are shown in GBP unless stated otherwise. Payment is taken via Stripe. Sample-collection options and any surcharges are confirmed at checkout. Refunds and cancellations are described in our Refund policy. Delivery and fulfilment timing is summarised on our Delivery page.
Where we sell
We sell blood testing to the United Kingdom only. Kits are despatched to UK addresses and partner clinics are in the UK. Access to checkout and account sign-in is restricted to UK connections, so an order cannot be placed from outside the UK.
Refusing or cancelling an order
We may decline an order, or cancel one after it is placed, and we will refund you in full where we do. We would only do this for a real reason, and the reasons are:
• we cannot fulfil it, for example a panel is withdrawn by the laboratory, or the test you chose is restricted to clinics that cannot take you
• the details given cannot be verified, or we reasonably suspect fraud or misuse of an account
• a system error, or interference with the order or payment process, means the amount paid does not match the price shown for what you ordered
• supplying it would be unlawful, or unsafe on the information available to us
If we cancel after payment, you get your money back in full. Cancelling an order is not us deciding whether a test is right for you, which is a matter for you and your clinician.
Prices and payment integrity
Prices are those shown on the product page at the time you order, in GBP, including any sample-collection surcharge confirmed at checkout. Prices are read from our catalogue when your basket is priced; they are never taken from your browser.
If an obvious pricing error occurs, for example a decimal point in the wrong place or a catalogue import that sets a clearly wrong figure, we are not obliged to supply at that price. We will tell you before doing anything, and you can confirm at the corrected price or have a full refund.
The amount you pay is checked against the order total before an order is treated as paid, and an order whose payment does not match is refused rather than fulfilled. Attempting to alter the price or the amount charged is a breach of these Terms and may be a criminal offence under the Computer Misuse Act 1990.
Laboratory partners and timing
Analysis is carried out by independent laboratories under contract to us. The turnaround shown on each product is the laboratory's expected time from receiving a usable sample, and it is an estimate rather than a guarantee: it does not include postage, and it can be affected by sample quality, repeat testing, or the laboratory's own workload.
We are not responsible for the acts, omissions or internal processes of a laboratory or clinic, and we are not liable for delay or failure caused by something outside our reasonable control, including postal and courier delays, laboratory or clinic closure, loss of power or connectivity, or events such as severe weather. We will tell you what we know, and if we cannot deliver a test at all we refund the part you have not received.
Health data and consent
By creating an account and placing orders you acknowledge that we process special category health data with your explicit consent (UK GDPR Article 9(2)(a)) as described in our Privacy policy. You may withdraw consent by opening a support ticket in Console; this may limit our ability to continue providing results services. Laboratory partners hold their own copies of fulfilment and testing records; withdrawing consent or deleting your DragonDX account does not automatically erase laboratory-held data (see Privacy policy).
Medical information and limitations
Important: please read carefully.
What DragonDX is NOT
• Not an MHRA-regulated medical device as a software platform, website, Console, or interpretive/results service
• Not a replacement for a GP, specialist, or emergency services
• Not a guarantee of clinical diagnosis or treatment advice
• Kit and clinic pathways involve third-party collection and laboratory partners
Device and kit marking
Physical specimen-collection kits supplied via our partners may carry CE or UKCA marking from the kit manufacturer as collection devices. That manufacturer marking does not make the DragonDX website, Console, charts, or AI/informational interpretation a medical device. Always follow the printed instructions for use supplied with your kit.
What DragonDX IS
• A retail blood-testing journey with contracted laboratory analysis
• A customer portal for orders, results, and informational interpretation/charts where enabled
• An educational / wellness information layer. Always discuss concerning results with a qualified clinician.
Your responsibilities
• Confirm you are 18+
• Provide accurate patient details and sample context
• Seek urgent medical help if you feel unwell. Do not wait for portal results.
Service limitations

• Laboratory turnaround and sample quality depend on partners and collection method
• Liability for paid services is limited to the amount paid for the relevant order, except where the law does not allow limitation
By creating an account or using results features you confirm you have read and understood these medical information and service limitations.
Complaints
Open a support ticket in Console (Support) with your order number and a clear description of the issue. We aim to respond within 5 working days. If you remain unhappy after our response, write to CwmByte Ltd at the registered office above. For privacy complaints you may also contact the ICO (ico.org.uk). You may seek independent advice from Citizens Advice. We are not currently signed to a named alternative dispute resolution (ADR) scheme for consumer contracts; if that changes we will update this section.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms, for example to reflect a change in the law or in how the service works. Each version is numbered, and the version that applies to your order is the one you accepted at checkout, which we record against that order. Changes do not apply retrospectively to orders already placed.
Severability
If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
